You need to make sure you have enough time to make your trip when you intend to travel during the Thanksgiving holiday. It is best to leave on the day before, as early as you can. If you are unable to leave early, then at least try to start traveling after the end of rush hour traffic. It is also best that you not travel directly after getting off work. Make sure you have some time to relax, even eat a meal, before hitting the road.
Why? Because that way, you are less likely to indulge in any episodes of road rage or aggression. That will not only keep you safe, it will also make sure you do not have to file any insurance claims because of a senseless accident.

So, Thanksgiving is coming up soon. Duh, right? But the point is, the roads are going to be very busy, and drivers need to be safe. In fact, in the United States alone, millions of drivers are going to be flocking onto the highways, as well as to train stations and airports.
You might think that you have no control over choosing the best time to travel during this time of year, but that is not true at all. There are things you can do to make sure that you and your family stay safe.
Think about this: AAA estimates that more than eighty percent of people in the United States will be driving during the holiday. With odds like that, you most definitely want to do all you can to ensure safety on the road.
