For instance, some agents will try to make you think that you have to get the same kind of policy for all of the cars you are insuring, but that simply is not true. Falling prey to that can cost you a lot more money, in fact. The thing to remember is that, by and large, an older car does not need full coverage. Comprehensive coverage, collision coverage — those really are not necessary for an older model.

You can generally go by this rule: if the total value of your car comes out to less than about ten times the cost of your premiums, you do not need that coverage.
